La Coupole

A large part of the legend surrounding the Montparnasse neighbourhood was born here, in this former wood and coal storage house, bought in 1927 by René Lafon and Ernest Fraux, to make it the greatest brasserie in all Paris! 1000 sq meters where all the artists from the Left Bank used to come, whatever their nationality.The place is a historic monument since 1988, and it has kept the charm that made its reputation, it clearly has its roots in the “Années Folles”, in a certain very Parisian art de vivre. In the dining room you will find 33 pillars, painted by artists and that make the dining room what it is, all in Art Déco style. On the basement level there is a large private dining room that used to be hosting dancing nights, but can now be used for conferences or private banquets.
