Paris is home to many a hidden treasure, architectural, gourmet or just cultural.
At the heart of the city, in the 2d district you will find a building that really reflects all that, Le Céladon*. Former convent in the 18th century, the building was then transformed by Napoleon 3d, and it finally became a postal relay at the beginning of the 20th century. It has always been a very popular place, whatever its function, and in the 1980’s it adds the name Westminster, becoming a symbol for grand Parisian hotels. In the prestigious place, a historic one, restaurant Le Céladon warmly welcomes gourmet guests, and has done so for a number of years now. Decorator Pierre Yves Rochon has managed to create a unique atmosphere here, mixing different styles, Régence, some Oriental touches... Tapestries, Chinese porcelain, paintings and old books give this interior a classic and impressive touch. Around round or rectangular tables guests can have lunch or dine with subtle lighting created by different types of lamps. Banquet, business lunch or dinner as a couple, all events are suited for this place and you can choose between five different dining rooms. Christophe Moisand offers his subtle and creative cuisine in this unique place. He learnt his trade with the greatest Chefs, Marc Marchand at Meurice for example, and he is now in charge of Le Céladon. His true wish? Bringing guests perfectly presented creations, traditional and innovative dishes at that. Service on little tables, sauce pots, cutting up of meat in the dining room for the French tradition, some original flavours are added to that, and the mix is perfect.
So here is a programme in the ideal gourmet menu, prepared with care and passion by the Chef and his team!
