L'Estocade

The décor is truly pretty and the restaurant is charming: that could very well sum up l’Estocade, an establishment that is full of personality right in the heart of historic Chartres.

Overlooking the Eure River, a few minutes away from Bouju bridge, this little restaurant has more than one trick in store for you and it will no doubt charm you. The atmosphere to start with, all in visible beams dating back to the 15th century, they smell good of yesterday and polished wood. Colourful tables and curtains, warm and subdued atmosphere, decoration items dating back to our grandma’s kitchen, fresh flowers, it is all between sweet and happy. And the magnificent fire place where you will find it comfortable to sit, or the pleasant winter garden where you can always dine will only confirm your first impression!
As for the cuisine, it is a nice compromise between traditional gourmet cuisine and personal as well as sparkling innovations. Refined and gourmet, each creation is a pleasure for your taste buds, no doubt enjoying the fresh products that our Chef prepares with his own touch.
