L’Eventail des Saveurs is first and foremost the result of an adventure, that of a 20 year old kid, full of illusions and of hope, who decides to buy a crêpe restaurant while he knows nothing about cuisine. His main guide after that is passion, and the talented self made man called Laurent Bacquer gets his education from books and from hands-on experience, for all gourmets’ greatest delight; they all love his Breton institution today. The dining room is the first thing to impress you with its simple yet elegant decoration. There is not too much in this sober space, a mix between the reassuring warm chocolate colour and the refreshing beige one. The pictures, the elegant tables everything in this room is meant to give an impression of harmony, of peace that you can actually feel here.
As for the artist of taste, it is Laurent, he is truly at ease when in the kitchen. In his knowing hands any dish can come to resemble a work of art, as much for the eyes that are enchanted by his creations as for the taste buds that will no doubt be charmed and satisfied. His cuisine is of Breton inspiration, and it is really a sum of little gourmet pleasures, a moment when you can forget and escape, get a few moments out of time and constraints. You will feel Laurent’s love for his art with every bite of these dishes that are as fresh as they are simple.
