Restaurant Georges Blanc, located in Vonnas, is more than a gourmet institution, it is a family story, delightfully told by each one of the walls in this building.
Family Inn, first opened in 1872, it got its first Michelin star in 1929, when Elise Blanc was in charge, the second star coming in 1931. In 1968, Georges Blanc takes over from his mother, Paulette, who also got two stars during her time as Chef. After a number of transformations, a third star is awarded in 1981, very rightfully rewarding the hard work of this visionary Chef. Now this is really a remarkable journey for this family who originally came to Vonnas in order to open up a café and lemonade factory! Luxury, quiet settings, dolce vita, this is truly a peaceful haven with prestigious surroundings, where service is exceptional and cuisine is of great quality. The large dining room is of classic charm, and gourmets are always delighted: refined crockery, elegant wall fabric, delicate colours and subdued lighting, the ambiance here is truly unique! Banquets, seminars, business meals and romantic dinners all find their place in this sweet little cocoon. In the kitchen we find Georges and his two sons, Frédéric and Alexandre who would really make their ancestors proud. Georges Blanc is passionate, he offers a type of cuisine mixing regional know how and creativity. His art is a perfect continuation of family traditions while leaving a lot of place to modernity as well. For all guests’ greatest pleasure, the passionate Grand Chef changes classics, adding a personal touch to them.
With the ideal gourmet Tasting Menu, he invites gourmets on a journey of high quality, precise cuisine.
