In the heart of a greener than ever Seine et Marne region, between the Ferrières forest and Crécy, the calm little village of Villeneuve le Comte has found its calm atmosphere again and has found a restaurant that is as charming as the place itself: la Bonne Marmite!
In a beautiful house, typical for the region, three dining rooms will welcome you, all decorated with care and good taste, inviting you in to experience a pure moment of gourmet pleasure. La Bonne Marmite will no doubt satisfy all kinds of gourmets, it is a cosy winter stop by the fireplace as well as a refreshing summer stop on the flowery terrace, in the shade of a hundred year old vineyard. The décor is discreetly country like, it is a subtle mix of warm colours and pure elegance. The service is smiling and attentionate, in the person of Isabelle, the hostess, and that just adds to the charm of the place.
In the kitchen we find Jacques Zajd, who puts all his talent and his energy at your service, to satisfy your gourmet needs. His cuisine is well thought through, from the words used to the flavours, it is an ode to delicacy and subtlety. This daring Chef wants to appeal to all your senses, and his compositions are a feast for all your senses. To add to all this, the establishment’s wine menu is more of a book, with a very large choice of wine and champagne.
So let yourself be tempted by this break in the country, so close to Paris. La Bonne Marmite is a nice stop, as nice in fact as the name would let you think, and it is a “must stop” in the Paris region.
ideal gourmet has not been able to resist its charms, you will no doubt be charmed as well by this menu full of surprises!
