Once upon a time, at the foot of the magnificent Tancarville bridge, there was a little restaurant appreciated by travellers as well as by local businessmen: La Marine.
The establishment boasts a beautiful terrace and a pretty little garden, as is the custom in Normandy.
The dining room décor is sober, a bit old-fashioned in a friendly way, and the big sliding doors give the impression of sitting outside while being comfortably seated inside.
Apart from exceptional cuisine, you will find here a clientele of regulars from the region or of cautious tourists on their way to Deauville or Honfleur, even some local famous faces.
While the view is of course out to the Seine and the famous bridge, the cuisine is sea-oriented.
Jean-Pierre Sedon is an experimented and talented Chef, a master at mixing regional flavours in his refined cuisine.
The menu will no doubt please you, with its flavours of travel and of sea shores: wild turbot, filet of mullet, lobster from the Cotentin, lamb from the region...
And what else could possibly be added? Maybe a word about the excellent service, under the responsibility of Madame Sedon, who is in charge of it just like her husband is in charge of the kitchen...
You will get a healthy change of scenery in these wonderful surroundings ¯ the view, just like the ideal gourmet menu, is delicious!
