And here is yet another place where we are happy to see that the same traditions of warm welcomes have been alive for four generations.
Of course, these traditions are now famous! In the heart of the Haut Doubs Mountains, 66 kilometres from Besançon, Le France invites you to a moment between cuisine and sheer cosiness.
The restaurant is located close to the quay for boats leaving for the Saut du Doubs, and close to the watch museum. The Hôtel de France is also a starting point for a number of day trips to this region of France or to Switzerland.
On the first floor, tastefully decorated, you will discover a little museum of cuisine, and then get to the dining room, pleasant and luminous: the pinewood gives a certain warmth to it. The tables are arranged in an elegant and discreet way, in order to underline the Chef’s work. And the plates coming from the kitchen are intense compositions of flavours and colours, building on local products (river fish, snails, Morteau sausage)...
