It is while taking a stroll along the Loire river that you will find « Les Antiquaires ».
Philippe Bardau has been in charge of the establishment since 1997, and has turned it into the best restaurant in Orléans, and one of the most famous in the whole Loiret region.
His motto is simple enough: flavours, pleasure, taste, service!
It is not a small challenge and this Chef, who got his cuisine education very early and with the most famous, takes it on marvellously.
Philippe Bardau is a rather discreet man, but is nevertheless very attentive to evolutions and tendencies, and in 2004 he was bold enough to open a very trendy place, a few meters from his one-star restaurant, a new, surprising and charming establishment...
But let us go back to Les Antiquaires, whose name is decidedly well chosen. The surroundings serve this excellent cuisine rather perfectly, in the heart of Orléans. The décor is sober and classic, all exposed beams and wall coverings, in perfect harmony with the furniture, an ideal place for a quiet and peaceful experience of cuisine.
The team is faithful - as are the customers - and talented. Pascale is in charge of service and of the wine cellar, the welcome is exceptional, the Chef is also surrounded by two assistants and a baker, in charge of making the bread before each service.
