An ode to literature, to great men and to excellent food, Le Raguenau is a prestigious place where history and gourmet cuisine live together in perfect harmony.
Located in the heart of the 1st arrondissement, this restaurant is a tribute to the pastry Chef of actors and poets, according to the expression used by Edmond de Rostang, an ode to the inventor of the famous “amandine” who founded this neighbourhood Inn around 1630, a safe haven for Paris’ intellectual elite. At the time you could find Molière, Rostang or Richelieu here, and while respecting this noble past, Vincent Sitz and Thomas Sertillanges decided to take over the establishment. Every corner of the restaurant breathes of art and culture with a special accent put on Cyrano de Bergerac, a work in which Raguenau’s influence is particularly great. So come and wander around in this non typical décor, between theatre posters, heavy red velvet curtains, decoration items, puppets... This is the scene of your gourmet show, and the establishment invites you to follow in the footsteps of the most famous lover in French literary history.
And your plates will pay the same kind of tribute to our gourmet history. With the talented touch of Vincent Sitz you will no doubt be moved by an unforgettable concert of flavours. Each dish is an ode to “haulte” cuisine, each bite a poem in itself, taking you to another time, another world. Le Raguenau is a successful mix of two arts in perfect harmony.
In the shadows the curtain rises and you will be amazed to see your senses awakening. Here is the incredible journey Le Raguenau takes you on: gourmet, poetic, historical, you will not forget your stop here.
So let yourself be tempted by the adventure, it is unique thanks to an ideal gourmet menu that we should call “gourmet poem”!
