The Baladin Saint Louis is a very nice stop in the heart of Versailles, a few minutes away from the cathedral and a five minute walk from the palace.
The old Saint Louis neighbourhood is not too close to all the shopping streets down town, its calm atmosphere is highly appreciated... It is easy to park, and the streets are rather empty.
As for Marie-Christine Roitman, she has a traveling past! After her education in the restaurant business, she decides to escape to the Caribbean, and works on St Barth, the jewel of the region, among other islands. Working close to crystal clear water and huge yachts has its charms... The décor of the Baladin St Louis is all in warm colours, a harmonious mix of simplicity and friendliness, reminding us a bit of what is to be found under warmer skies... Marie-Christine will welcome you like a friend, with a beautiful smile and a true will to share. She is passionate, and has managed to find a young talented Chef to match her talents; he likes to risk new and surprising compositions; a traditional kind of cuisine mixed with flavours from the South West of France, with sometimes a few Mediterranean touches... The restaurant is very conveniently divided into three well separated spaces, and you will find it’s an ideal location for a business lunch on the privatised first floor as well as for dinner with your loved one.
As for the terrace, it is a piece of quiet country side 10 minutes away from Paris, and it is very popular as soon as the weather allows...
The ideal gourmet menu changes frequently, according to the seasons and the Chef’s mood, but it will always offer the house’s specialties and compositions of the day.
This address is truly a good bargain, and we really like it!
