What a pleasure to be in Montmartre, so Parisian, never-ending, always fashionable, charming yet full of melancholy, and to find a little restaurant that does not look like much at first sight but oh so friendly and authentic, just like the street surrounding it.
An Institution of the Montmartre hill that has been serving customers every night since... 1969!
The welcome is smiling, friendly, festive and professional. Odile Jeandaine and her team have one purpose: satisfying their guests and this little restaurant is always full.
You will very often find tourists here, tour guides like to bring their groups since they know they can rely on a cuisine of quality; locals like it because it is not one of those tourist traps you find all too often here in Montmartre... Welcome to la Butte en Vigne!
The cuisine is traditional, it is not Grande Cuisine but it is certainly of good taste and quality, able to satisfy all kinds of palates. And this little traditional and well decorated place is located right in the heart of the village, a few yards away from the famous Place du Tertre.
This was a sacred hill for the Romans, an abbey was built here, Henry IVth used it for political purposes... The village has been able to keep its cultural and artistic identity and it will no doubt charm couples coming here for a stroll.
The ideal gourmet menu was composed especially for you, the quality is good, the price reasonable, it takes you on a journey to an authentic Paris, a Paris of the past, a Paris we love!
