But is it really only a family story that is being told here?At the heart of the charming town of Pont Aven in the Finistère department you will find two brothers who really want to make a gourmet difference! We are talking about Frédéric and Franck Sébilleau... The city of Pont Aven is nicknamed city of painters because they were numerous here at one point. The famous Gauguin was among them... They were of course also charmed by the pretty little town and the beautiful landscape surrounding it. Pont Aven really can offer famous gourmet stops and we would like to introduce the most famous and charming of them all: Le Moulin de Rosmadec! Pierre Sébilleau came here as a Chef in 1958 and his sons now take over, respecting traditions and a family spirit that is rather unusual. It gives to the cuisine of this 15th century mill all its importance! It is at the point where the Aven River, whose waters are until then playing between rocks, becomes larger and influenced by tidal waters that the Moulin welcomes you. Let us adapt to the slightly small 15th century door and enter this beautiful stone building with its many alcoves and secret corners...Magnificent fire place, splendid glass work, nice décor attentive to details, the place lies a bit away from the large groups of tourists and it is truly exquisite. As the tradition has it in Finistère, the sun will no doubt be present if you decide to have your meal on the terrace and you will have a delicious moment by the water. In the kitchen we find Frédéric who has learnt some lessons at Taillevent or la Tour d'Argent but who has mainly learnt his trade from his father, who trusted him with small tasks from a very young age.Shellfish, fish but also game and splendid compositions are what make this place that will leave you speechless. The ideal gourmet menu is an ode to the Chef's work and you will be surprised by the excellent welcome offered by Maryse, wife and hostess.
