For all those who like exoticism and flavours from elsewhere, le Jardin de Balen is an ideal place, looking for inspiration in the best of both French and Cameroonian traditions...
And that is for our taste buds’ greatest pleasure!
Let us first say a few words about the context: he is of Spanish origin, passionate about the cuisine of the South West of France (where he lived for several years). She is Franco-Cameroonian and loves both her cultures equally. With that as a starting point we let you imagine the sparkling mix that is the result of this union: a largely cosmopolitan establishment! The settings are rather country like, and the inspirations for the décor are numerous. Lively colours, exotic furniture along with authentic African masks stand along visible stones and pretty paintings. There is no way to describe a unique sensation, it is half way between exotic journey and warm atmosphere, a bit like at home.
As for the cuisine, well there the programme is every bit as appetizing. The menu is a bit like a multiple choice test: traditional French cuisine or refined exotic dishes, your heart will have to be the one to decide and no one can prevent you from going from one country to the other between starters and dessert. The final result is delicious, refined and incredibly surprising... A pure moment of escaping, sheer pleasure a few minutes away from home!
And of course our couple chose to open their establishment at the heart of the 12th district, well known for being multicultural. They chose the 14th of February 2006 as an opening date too... The address is now well known. For a business meal or an intimate meal, this ideal gourmet menu is really a mix of cultures that are both really rich.
It will satisfy all your wishes!
