Once upon a time there was a little village called La Pomarède.
Located in the Aude region, between Castelnaudary and Toulouse, this village hides in its heart a well preserved Cathar castle dating back to the 11th century. And it is lucky that this magnificent historical building now experiences a second youth since 1998 thanks to Nathalie and Gérald Garcia’s courageous initiative.
So, tempted by life in a castle? Why not enter the very intimate dining rooms of the Château de la Pomarède and enjoy this place, impressive and elegant, where everything seems to have been kept... just like it used to be.
The castle’s dining room itself is an architectural gem, where a number of historic characters have dined, pope John XXII or Pierre Paul Riquet to name only a few. In these historic surroundings, everything breathes of prestige, refinement, elegance and sobriety for everybody’s delight. This is a peaceful haven, a place that will charm just as much through the history of the building as through the unique atmosphere.
Nathalie and Gérald invite you to their table and present you with their specialties, during a gourmet break. These are compositions with very strong flavours, subtly spiced up, changing according to the season and with products of an amazing quality. Emotion and sensuality, these are the main words for this artist couple, for whom cuisine is truly an art in itself.
Come to the Château, and you will forget for an evening or a week end what city life and stress are like.
Enjoy a break away from time, between aesthetic emotion and grande cuisine.
