Au Départ is an invitation to discover a place composed with very good taste around the creations of a talented young Chef. Jean François Buche chooses to start his own business after quite some experience elsewhere, the kitchens of the French senate, then Boyer in Reims and finally Marc Meurin in Busnes. The cuisine here is innovative, and the décor is quite as surprising. After having passed through a large and luminous welcome room for drinks and digestifs, the large dining room offers a series of vivid colours, very balanced, from apple green to Indian pink. All the crockery is chosen with care and delicately presented. The décor is so refined that you will find a beautiful sculpture on each table, along with large vases with enchanting orchids. Mrs Buche welcomes you with taste and passion in this establishment now well known in the Chef’s native region. The service is attentive, the wines are always suggested by a sommelier, nothing is left to chance. Au Départ does not only offer a regular dining room but also smaller reception areas for small parties, and a large reception dining room for family banquets or seminars, or why not a company dinner. As for the cuisine, the Chef uses his enormous creativity and imagination, for the guests’ greatest pleasure. Jean François Buche has been selected Gault Millau Young talent, he offers happy and colourful cuisine, full of flavours too. His compositions are quite surprising and you can easily imagine that his innovations crave a lot of work and research. The ideal gourmet menu is composed according to the seasons and the market, it is a perfect introduction to our young Chef’s cuisine, who is also a member of the Prosper Montagné club.
The price is excellent for such a place, an ideal gourmet favourite.
