Napoleon had a sign moved in his time and as a result two nations are eating at the same table and sleeping in the same beds. Close to the border between France and Switzerland, here is a state that is in fact no more than a single building. This hotel and restaurant was built on Napoleon’s no man’s land and is at the hands of the Arbez family. Edgar Faure was the man who actually called this little state Arbezia… And let’s not be afraid of words here… This is a true state. The atmosphere is warm, authentic, the décor is that of the mountains, an inspiration from its two neighbours. A pleasant and welcoming place!
And for the international crowd walking down the only street of this country, well they are assured of tasting a cuisine of the region, refined and precise. The prince himself is controlling the creations, he wants elegance and flavour to be key words. The compositions should also be a surprise, just like his country! This is a pleasure for your taste buds, you will want to come back or why not stay for good, thus increasing the population, making it a whole 16 inhabitants.
