Family establishment, traditional one too, there is no need to introduce Auberge du Cheval Blanc in Lembach, it has become a must-stop in Alsace’s gourmet landscape.
Located less than an hour away from Strasbourg and Karlsruhe, Lembach is a charming and authentic village, surrounded by the exceptional Northern Vosges natural park. At the heart of these fabulous settings, it is in a former postal relay, transformed into a cosy and welcoming Inn, that Carole and Pascal Bastian are ready to welcome you into their gourmet paradise.
Respecting a house that has been here since 1740, with a clear taste for pretty things, the establishment, and more specifically the large dining room, have been decorated as they should be: lots of space and light, nice wood work dating back to old times, traditional décor items, nice tables. A typical and refined atmosphere where you will enjoy having your meal. In the charge of the kitchen here we find Pascal Bastian, a prodigy of gourmet cuisine, who has been named “great name of tomorrow” by the Gault & Millau guide and who has earned his firts Michelin star. He is a member of the Etoiles d’Alsace and of the Prosper Montagné Club, passionate about traditional French gourmet cuisine. He is really a great ambassador, offering his inventive best to guests with revisited traditional cuisine, all light and refined, with some daring touches making him truly original. This establishment should not be missed, it is a model of French grande cuisine. For a meal, a quiet week end, the Auberge du Cheval Blanc is perfect. Authenticity, beautiful surroundings, warm and smiling welcome, rooms that can be privatized, and first and foremost a cuisine that ideal gourmet offers thanks to a menu perfect for all types of guests.
