Lost in the vineyards, not far from Avignon, a splendid old style building welcomes you into its gourmet world, in a huge park, inviting you to rediscover the true sense of the word gourmet.
Welcome to Le Mogador du Château le Martinet.
The first stones were laid during the time of Louis 14th. During the 19th century the building was used as oil mill, was then transformed into a castle to live in by René Berbier, at the heart of a wine producing property. The château will have to wait until 1985 to discover its true destiny: the charming restaurant we can still visit nowadays. The charm comes from the surroundings, at the heart of Provence, and from the décor of the place, delicate and refreshing. In settings dominated by pink colours, in a very 19th century spirit, you will no doubt enjoy the furniture, dating back to old times, nice fabric, old style lights, paintings and décor items, all that contributing to create a unique impression, a mix of grandeur, freshness, pretty impressions and exclusive feelings. Warmth , friendliness, relaxation are on the program, you will be able to enjoy the large park, the terrace surrounded by hundred year old trees where you will be happy to dine as soon as the weather allows.
Your hosts have an experience spanning over 5 generations, they invite you to discover refined and elegant cuisine, where passion and creativity are key, mixed with tradition. This cuisine is sparkling, full of flavours, reflecting its region. Provence no doubt inspires the Chef!
To have a moment in the château, in this restaurant, that does not only mean have dinner, but also meeting history, a spirit. In superb settings, the ideal gourmet menu only comes as the icing on the cake.
For a dinner, a week end or a whole week, please let yourself go and enjoy the charm of Château Le Martinet Le Mogador!
