In Marlenheim, close to Strasbourg, at the beginning of the Alsace wine route, a former postal relay is now the place not to be missed for gourmets from Alsace and elsewhere.
The story of this now mythical place dates back to 1930, when Paul Wagner bought former postal relay Le Cerf. It only took a few years to turn it into one of the best establishments in the region. Starting from there, the Husser family, who took over, really wanted to keep it that way. And it is a true success! There are very few gourmets nowadays who do not know the Husser’s family establishment. The place is flowery, delicately decorated, friendliness is a key word here. The atmosphere is warm, cosy, welcoming. Light wood lightens up and warms up the dining room, all in mild and harmonious colours. Enjoy the moment! The rooms are also of excellent quality here, and the new ones were created recently for everybody’s greatest pleasure.
The cuisine, along with the wine cellar, is of course the main argument of the place. The restaurant is a member of the discreet Prosper Montagné Club, it has received awards from the most prestigious gourmet guides, and it will have you discover new gourmet horizons. Michel Husser is at the helm here, he is a rigorous professional, curious and daring, he cooks products from his beloved region everyday and is always on the lookout for new products, rare ones... He really is talented at defending his region, he offers dishes between tradition and modernity. You will not find recipes you know here, or that you think you know, you are in for a true discovery with a cuisine of the season, delicate, surprising, unmissable...
