The restaurant is located at the heart of the old part of town, in a pretty street surrounded by traditional Alsace houses, with roofs composed of little slates, typical facades that are made so much prettier in the summer time thanks to red geraniums. In one word, this is truly idyllic and you will no doubt be delighted! If you go inside you will see that the regional roots of the place are proudly presented here, with all the pretty and authentic aspects! This is a charming house and the different stubs, or rooms, create a sense of intimacy. The spirit is traditional, wooden, flowery, bourgeois, and Alsace is in every corner... This house groups as many different places as it has private dining rooms or floors, the atmosphere is festive and happy, traditional as well with a round table for 20 guests on the second floor. The cuisine is clearly worth a stop. The establishment is very famous in the region, and all the more so since Jacques Chirac had lunch here with chancellor Gerhard Schröder. You can easily understand their choice when you taste this regional cuisine, inspired by such a rich region. The guests are delighted by the recipes that are full of flavours, and the products, always regional, are exceptionally fresh.
