Yes, the neighbourhood is very poshy and very quiet, but you can still find some friendly Parisian restaurants around Ecole Militaire.
Léo le Lion is really a proof of that!
Welcoming, smiling, warm, this establishment is really perfect! It is a bistro from the 30's, redecorated with taste and it has kept some memories from its glory days, like the original grill. The décor is art deco and it allows a lot of space for dark and deep colours, for decoration items dating back the original times, giving the place its personality. Lamps, fabric, butter making machine, ice machine... The furniture, the legendary items create a décor that is truly timeless and charming.
And even if you might think the opposite, Léo is not necessarily a red meat specialist... Fish is really the guest of honour here, and it only leaves space for game when it is season for it. Traditions have their importance here, this is a quality restaurant and the products are fresh from the market, regional, always of the season, that is the condition to respect if you want total freshness for your compositions.
This nice, beautiful bistro with an art deco ambiance and museum like décor is charming and full of personality, and it is very different from all its designer counterparts flourishing in Paris. A true choice you also feel in the kitchen, your ideal gourmet menu is there to prove it. Tradition, in the noble sense of the word, is really key here.
A timeless place, very flexible, perfect to leave your everyday life behind during your meal!
