The hotel George V is one of the famous luxury hotels of the capital and is ideally located on the avenue Georges V, minutes away from the famous Champs Elysées. Built in 1928 by André Terrail (also creator of la Tour d’Argent), across from his mansion, this prestigious establishments is decorated in original 30’s style and is considered as one of the most pretigious of Paris, even like one of the most luxurious in th world. It has been crowned several times by Condé Nast Traveler magazine. It is also a place symbolizing French gourmet cuisine thanks to Philippe Legendre, and one of the best sommeliers in the world, Eric Beaumard. The hotel has everything on offer for its guests, 8 splendid reception areas, an open pool, a very complete spa offer…
Philippe Legendre is in charge of the kitchens in le Cinq restaurant, in the prestigious George V hotel, and has been there since 2000. He is extremely gifted, started without any mentors in the profession, just came to the capital aged 16 and started knocking on various doors, to get work. He has worked in a series of famous establishments: Sheraton, Lucas Carton, Ritz where he rapidly takes on more responsibilities. He worked at Taillevent, giving some gourmet splendour back to that restaurant, at least temporarily. He then takes on his next challenge, recreating the restaurant at George V hotel… and it is a success. Philippe Legendre is giving a new identity to things, marking his territory. The crayfish stew or the George V chicken are for instance two creations especially for the establishement.
The praise is there right away and yet this Chef is never far from his kitchen. He thinks of the product first, the ones he knows, not caring to learn about other ones. “Classic and innovative”, that is how he defines his cuisine. But people always have the first role. His providers, those who deliver, a long chain where every part is important. In the dining room everything is perfect and all is done for your moment here to be pure bliss, pure tradition.
The cosy, intimate salon Regence has a long history of highly confidential meetings and dinners. Gracious boiseries of the 19th century, an elegant Louis XV fireplace made of wood (a quite rare material for a fireplace), mirrors and torcheres contribute to the intimacy of this lovely room.

OUR CUSTOMERS SAID
"An e mail just to tell you how pleasantly surprised I was by your service’s quick reaction. When I got your e mail telling me the invitation was being sent to my guests, they already had it! I had bought the gift on Wednesday afternoon, and was quite surprised it had already arrived on the Thursday morning!"
