A few words of history: at the beginning of the 19th century the street was created where there once used to be a park belonging to the La Rochefoucault-Liancourt family. The family gave it to the abbey that had been there since the 16th century. And it is above magical and magnificent cellars that the Love Pavilion was built. With six additional floors it then makes room for an exquisite house, now L’Hôtel. Oscar Wilde even chooses it as his Parisian residence, so the place is truly historical. The Hotel itself and its restaurant are full of surprises that will start as soon as you lift your eyes towards the rooms. It is a unique journey that everyone will remember. And then the famous bar, subdued and decorated with exquisite taste. Then the dining room of the elegant restaurant with its slightly old fashioned beauty. A special atmosphere, a bit nostalgic but with touches of modernity that we owe to Jacques Garcia.

He was taught by Christian Le Squer at Ledoyen among others and this young promising Chef chose to work alone for the first time at Restaurant de l’Hôtel. It is of course natural for such a place to have a cuisine matching the exceptional qualities of the rest. It is inventive and refined and each dish is a surprise. Fennel, guacamole, many forgotten flavours are revealed again by this talented and daring Chef!
