What would Paris be without those amazing restaurants ?
The Hotel Scribe and its restaurant, Le Lumière are certainly one of a kind. Located in the 9th district of the capital, it is a part of the city’s history and the country’s as well. This place used to be called Le Grand Café and on December 28th 1895, the Lumière brothers showed their first film here. So of course you won’t be surprised to find some reminders of this event in the restaurant, pictures of the actual event and of the brothers themselves. Those pictures are in perfect harmony with the more modern tones of the rest of the décor. All is elegance and refinement here. The whole dining room is bathing in natural light thanks to the beautiful glass roof. And at night the lights of the city will be guests at your table. And then there are the salons, they can be privatized as can the dining room for a business luncheon, a family banquet or a dinner with friends. This is the promise of an enchanting moment... As for the cuisine, the Chef and his team prepare creative dishes. The know how is clearly there, the Chef plays with products like a maestro... Combined types of cooking, mixes of flavours, farandoles of scents, different textures: the contrasts are stark, the results surprising. When plates get on the table, guests can enjoy a real show and the actual tasting is the cherry on the cake.
With the ideal gourmet menu, Le Lumière restaurant at the Hotel Scribe takes all those who want to on a gourmet journey you are not about to forget...
