you will no doubt like this little restaurant, full of life and newly moved into the centre of this famous town in Lorraine. Laurence and Mark Sweetman were in fact so charmed by the pretty rue du Chapitre that they decided to move their restaurant – it had already changed names – to this building, an old cart garage used by the noble dames of Epinal.
So come discover this establishment, as special as its owners, a Franco English couple. The Bistrot Gourmand is in fact the successful mix of a cuisine with very modern and daring flavours and a 17th century building with a well defined look.
According to Laurence’s wishes, the restaurant’s dining room is colourful, luminous, warm and intimate. The décor very skilfully mixes the history that goes with the place and a modernity that actually defines this dynamic and ambitious couple.
Originally from Britain, Mark nevertheless has a profound respect for French cuisine; he knows how to handle it very well indeed, in his kitchen that you can see from the street. The cuisine is daring, modern and full of resources and Mark will no doubt surprise all kinds of taste buds with his inventive and personal compositions.
