Au Petit Comptoir is the story of a man who feels good in his town and in his job, he knows what he is doing! When he takes over this establishment close to the famous brasserie Boulingrin, Fabrice Maillot, who likes the good things in life, who likes to hunt and to collect cars, decides to treat himself as much as his guests to something good. He knows the region well since he learnt his trade at Crayères and then goes on to Robuchon in Paris, at Jamin... But he is the adventurous type and he is ambitious too so he goes to Marbella from where he brings back Spanish touches, adding his own accents to it. He offers the creations to the menu at Le Comptoir and they are a true success. He then decides to make his place bigger at the back and he makes a real good job of the deco. You will feel good in this restaurant with a lot of alcoves and little corners for a romantic dinner or for a business meal. There are nice dining rooms like at home, the interior is trendy, all in whites. As for what is on your plate, it is no doubt very refined. This young Chef does not make anything if it does not verge on perfection. He is inventive, makes dazzling creations, full of surprises, always moving, according to the market and the season. The welcome and the service are full of attentions. This is a beautiful address that ideal gourmet is happy to present with an excellent menu at this very reasonable price. The moment you will have here is exceptional.
